MIAMI, United States — Scheduled flights between the United States and Cuba for September 2025 fell by “20% compared to August,” according to a report from the specialized site Aviacionline.
The drop — attributed to the end of the summer season, according to the website — means that only three U.S. airlines will be operating a total of 91 weekly flights, representing a capacity of 13,965 seats per week connecting the two countries.
In the year-on-year comparison between September 2025 and September 2024, there is also “a 21% drop in the number of frequencies and a 16.1% decrease in seat availability,” Aviacionline added.
According to the specialized site, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines are the carriers sustaining the air bridge, with most operations concentrated in Florida, specifically from Miami (MIA) and Tampa (TPA).
