The Dyson dryer monitors the heat coming off the dryer 40 times per minute to control the heat and avoid any damage. Your hair will be shinier and smoother with less damage--both when you use the tool and over the years. If you are worried about frizz, the dryer uses negative ions to reduce static. This will keep your hair smooth and shiny all day.
For example, to use the diffuser tool, you must pool your hair in it and then press it on to your scalp to dry. Dyson has produced a series of videos on how to use the Hair Dryer, just in case you are confused (like I was).

First, I was impressed by the Dyson's inclusion of everything. My previous hair dryer only came with the dryer. I had to order accessories (diffusers, concentrators, brushes, etc.) separately. These accessories were not included in the original hair dryer, so I had to order them separately.

I think the best thing about this hair dryer was how volume it gave me. As I said, I have straight, fine hair. Why would I spend so much on a hair dryer? My hair is perfect for Dyson Supersonic. I have found that it creates huge volume. I use the round brush provided with the dryer (which I can use for curtain bangs), and one of their concentrator nozzles to style and add volume to my roots. Otherwise, my hair is left to dry naturally without any attachments. It always looks like it just came off the set of a movie.

Whatever the reason may be, I knew I was going to put Dyson's Supersonic Hair Dryer to the test.
Two independent editors tested the Dyson Supersonic Dryer with hair of very different lengths, textures and types.
Magnetic attachments are also very appealing to me. I have dropped my hairdryer, cracked the diffuser screw and been left without a diffuser attachment. Sometimes the attachment's screw-in is no longer attached because it becomes threadbare. I can recall duct taped one of my attachments onto my old hair dryer. It didn't work. A resounding yes, yes, yes. I had no idea that a $400 lump of plastic would have such a grip on me. However, it does. My fine, straight hair almost never looks alive because it is so thin. My hair feels flat against my head without much effort, which makes it appear even thinner than what it really is. My hair is still my natural color, and I haven't bleached it in over a whole year. So, my hair is essentially my natural color with some dimension from past highlights. I do have some problems, however, because my hair is oily even without color. I can only go one day without washing my hair and then my hair looks terrible the second day. I'm now washing my hair more than I've ever done before, and doing all that I can to keep my ends moisturized.

The next thing I knew I was a Dyson fan. The Dyson blow dryer is faster than other hair dryers. When I first used it, I recorded the drying time on my smartphone. The result? 1:40:11. It took me less than two minutes to dry my entire head. My hair is fine and short, but I find it takes longer to make instant coffee. This alone made me decide that the Dyson was worth it. Although I often run late, I don't worry about whether I have enough time to dry my hair now. I have always got two minutes.
