for AI Sprint Summarizer for Business Application

1. Introduction
AI Sprint Summarizer ("the App") is a JIRA add-on available on the Atlassian Marketplace that utilizes OpenAI's API to generate summarized descriptions of selected issues. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

• The App processes selected issue summaries, descriptions and related metadata as well as aligned Sprint related metadata as an input to OpenAI’s API to generate high-level business summaries.
• No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected, stored, or shared by the App unless such information was placed in selected issue data or sprint data.
• The App does not retain any data after processing. All requests are transient and are not stored on our servers.
• OpenAI processes the input data solely for generating summaries and does not retain any information.
• Application logs may include issue summary, description and related metadata as well as generated summaries for bug fixing, debugging and optimization purposes. Logs are stored on Atlassian infrastructure and access to it can be disabled for the Vendor.
• Application cache is stored on Atlassian infrastructure and Vendor has no access to it. Cache may include issue summary, description and related metadata as well as generated summaries with TTL up to 24h since last access.

3. Data Security

• We use industry-standard encryption to transmit data securely.
• The App does not store any customer data except for what was listed in paragraph 2. - Data Collection and Usage.
• Access to OpenAI’s API is managed via secure authentication.

4. Third-Party Services

• The App integrates with OpenAI's API to generate text summaries.
• OpenAI’s privacy policy can be reviewed here.
• The App operates within the Atlassian ecosystem, adhering to Atlassian’s security and privacy requirements.

5. User Rights and Control

• Users can choose which issue descriptions to process.
• Since the App does not store data, there are no stored records to delete or modify.
• Users can uninstall the App at any time via the Atlassian Marketplace.

6. Compliance with Atlassian Policies

• This App complies with Atlassian’s Marketplace Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to this Policy

• We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on our Atlassian Marketplace listing.
